Power Words! Vol. 1
POWER WORDS! VOL. 1 is the new album from Shoe Biters, the award-winning animated rock band for kids, bringing big guitars, unforgettable characters and positive messages together in music created for children and families.
Shoe Biters has quickly built momentum across music and family entertainment, with “5,557 Bees & Fleas” reaching #1 on SiriusXM Kids Place Live’s 13 Under 13 countdown and remaining in the countdown for nearly two months, after also winning the Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest’s Children’s Category. The Shoe Biters channel has been selected for distribution on YouTube Kids worldwide, the largest kid’s platform in the world.
Built around powerful ideas including resilience, empathy, perseverance, authenticity and courage, the album turns social-emotional learning into energetic, original rock songs designed to inspire kids while never forgetting to entertain them.
POWER WORDS! VOL. 1 represents what Shoe Biters is all about: great songs, great characters and music with something meaningful to say.
Kids deserve music that's made with the same level of care, musicianship, and heart as any great rock record - something families genuinely enjoy listening to together.
If these songs inspire even one child to pick up a guitar, start a band, or discover the joy of making music with others, then I've done exactly what I set out to do.

About the Artist

Rick Robles is the creator and frontman of Shoe Biters, an animated family-friendly rock band that blends the energy of ’90s alternative rock with stories that help parents and kids connect through music. Set in the colorful world of Harmony Town, the project celebrates everyday heroes, big feelings, and the power of music to bring families together.
For more than 25 years, veteran voice-over artist Robles has been one of the most recognizable voices in America. You’ve heard him promoting Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the CMA Awards, NBA Finals, Super Bowl, Homestead Rescue, Master Ink, Ted Lasso, and countless commercial and television projects. In a career introducing other people’s stories, he finally gets to tell his own.
Shoe Biters is produced by an Emmy-nominated, multi-award-winning team — including former Bluey and Peppa Pig animators and creatives behind Oscar, Grammy, and Emmy-winning franchises for CBS, ABC, NBC, Warner Bros., Netflix, Disney+, and HBO Max.
Launched on YouTube in 2025, Shoe Biters is expanding through new music, animated videos, and live shows — including “Growl’s Rockin’ Growth Mindset,” a school assembly now touring nationally.
At its heart is Robles’ belief that childhood deserves great art, and his mission to get a new generation to pick up an instrument, name their feelings, or simply fall in love with listening, sharing songs, and the joy of rocking out.
